Ranjan's connection to the community runs deep: he has supervised student projects analyzing data for the County Department of Health and County Library, and previously volunteered at the library, delivering books to individuals unable to travel to a branch. His commitment to education extends beyond the classroom—he has also taught consumer mathematics and statistics at Westville Prison, demonstrating his belief in the power of learning to transform lives.

In 2021, Ranjan served on the Indiana Citizens Redistricting Commission and has been an outspoken advocate against state and county gerrymandering, championing fair representation for all residents. He’s a strong supporter of public resources like our county parks and library system. You can regularly find him with his kids at story time at the Francis branch or running the trails at St. Pat’s Park. In fact, he’s gone for a run every day for almost the last ten years, and now he’s running for you. Ranjan has demonstrated a consistent commitment to service, equity and transparancy—values he’s ready to bring to the County Council.
